Job Summary
Performs CT scans as directed, identifies patients and procedures, and communicates with physicians/nursing staff. Uses IV contrast appropriately, ensures patient safety, and adheres to scanning protocols with reference to protocol book. Proficient in 3D imaging and multiplanar reconstruction, archives films, and prepares and cleans the CT room between patients. Supervises and trains co-workers, completes requisitions and radiology forms, and collaborates with radiologists to determine appropriate protocols. Maintains equipment readiness, follows documentation procedures, and responds to codes and emergencies as needed. Night shift position at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Registered and CT certification
- CPR certification
- SCRQSA certification (Required for team members working in South Carolina)
- Education: Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
