Job Summary
CT Technologist (CAT Scan) evenings at a Westchester hospital. Perform routine and advanced CT imaging procedures per physician orders; prepare and position patients; explain procedures; produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining imaging standards; administer and monitor imaging protocols; assist radiologists during specialized procedures; process images and CDs; maintain patient documentation in EPIC/RIS/PACS; conduct QA testing, equipment calibrations, and ACR compliance; monitor equipment and ensure a clean, safe imaging environment; support diverse patient populations; participate in departmental meetings and training; serve as a preceptor for students and new staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License or Limited Permit
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Documented training and experience operating CT imaging equipment
- Knowledge of radiation physics, radiation safety, and dose reduction techniques
- New York State IV Certification
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
