Job Summary

Perform full-range diagnostic CT examinations including neuro, chest, abdominal, and pediatric studies, selecting technical settings and administering oral and intravenous contrast under physician direction. Independently schedule and review examination requests, explain procedures to patients, and ensure radiation safety and Universal Precautions compliance. Evaluate CT images with radiologists, assist in CT-guided biopsies, and maintain complete patient records. Monitor equipment status, perform daily quality control checks, and contribute to quality improvement programs by reviewing literature and recommending corrective actions. Participate in developing new protocols and instructing personnel on quality assurance standards. Work Sunday through Saturday in 8.5-hour shifts with occasional holidays; no on-call required. Hourly rate between $52 and $54.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • One year of experience in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance
  • Sunday - Saturday, 8.5 hour shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)
  • Occasional Holiday
