Job Summary
Perform routine CT imaging examinations on scheduled and emergency bases, reviewing requisitions to determine procedure appropriateness and identifying patients with two identifiers. Select technical factors to visualize pathologic and normal anatomy while assessing patient status to adjust for specific needs. Explain radiation exposure and ALARA practices, answer patient questions, and report equipment malfunctions. Maintain daily section operations, complete accurate documentation, and comply with HIPAA and departmental policies. Participate in departmental meetings and further professional education to maintain current licensure and certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree, Allied Health
- 1 year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist
- RT/CT registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification
- BLS certification
