Job Summary
CT Technologist responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images, adhering to radiation safety standards, educating patients about procedures, administering IV contrast when needed, and ensuring efficient department workflow. Requires ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification, state licensure in required states, BLS, and a certificate/diploma in Radiologic Technology with typically two years of experience. Positions available at Banner Health facilities across the West Valley with varied shifts; role emphasizes patient advocacy, equipment troubleshooting, and compliance with policies and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program
- National Certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or NMTCB CNMT
- State Licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado)
- Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire (ARRT CT or NMTCB CT)
- Certification for BLS is required
- Typically two years of experience in radiology/imaging environments
