Job Summary
CT Technologist position at the Syracuse VA Medical Center with Ansible Government Solutions. Responsibilities include preparing patients for CT imaging, performing a full range of CT examinations (abdomen, chest, head/neck, spine, CTA, GI bleed, renal mass studies, etc.), administering contrast and monitoring patient response, operating multi-slice CT scanners, conducting general radiographic imaging as needed, tracking CT radiation doses, maintaining sterile supplies, entering imaging data into VA systems, and adhering to ALARA and infection control policies. Requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and CT, active unrestricted radiologic license, minimum 3 years CT imaging experience, experience with advanced CT procedures (cardiac/interventional/3D reconstruction), PACS experience, BLS, VA credentialing requirements, and ability to work in on-call shifts with potential schedule changes.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography
- Active, unrestricted Radiologic Technology license (U.S.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CT imaging
- Experience with advanced CT procedures (cardiac, interventional, 3D reconstruction)
- Knowledge of cross‐sectional anatomy and contrast protocols
- PACS and electronic documentation experience
- English language proficiency
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Completion of VA credentialing, training, and background requirements
- Ongoing continuing education and competency validation
