Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes, setting appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Provide high-quality images to radiologists while adhering to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment, document patient information and imaging parameters accurately, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Maintain equipment functionality and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure. Requires one year of recent CT experience, a valid Radiology license, and the ability to adapt to different equipment and protocols across various facilities.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for travel
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs
