Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes, setting appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Prepare patients for procedures, position them for safety and image accuracy, and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed while collaborating with radiologists to obtain high-quality images. Maintain equipment, troubleshoot functionality issues, and document patient information and procedural details accurately in the hospital's system. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety throughout the imaging process.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
