Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes, setting appropriate technical parameters and providing high-quality images to radiologists. Prepare patients for procedures, position them for safety and image accuracy, and maintain equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Document patient information and imaging parameters accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards and hospital policies. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services, ensuring proper imaging protocols are followed throughout the imaging process.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
