Job Summary
Prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans under physician direction. Explain procedures to minimize anxiety, ensure patient safety, and prioritize workflow for timely arrivals and departures. Maintain sterile fields, perform quality control checks, and critique image quality to determine if repeats are necessary. Clean examination surfaces and provide linen between patients while following OSHA regulations and universal precautions. Works within a team to achieve patient and team goals, participates in staff meetings, and may travel between campus buildings and remote facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of ARRT- approved Radiography Program
- Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) within 12 months of hire
- 1 year of experience in CT
- Analytical ability
- basic computer skills
- good communication skills
- ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient
- ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
- Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills
- Attention to detail
- ability to write legibly
- Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs
- Follows and supports OSHA regulations

- Shares and initiates regular and professional communication with co-workers
- Follows routine standards and properly and safely manipulates equipment, within its limitations, to obtain images
- Maintains sterile equipment and fields
- Uses protocols to obtain images of internal structures
- Critiques images for quality and makes necessary judgments to determine if repeat is necessary
- May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention
- On call responsibilities as directed
- Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 2 Year/Associate's Degree
- 1 year of experience in CT preferred
