Job Summary
As a CT Tech, you will perform Computed Tomography scans to create cross-sectional images for medical diagnostics. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients for scans, administering contrast agents, ensuring imaging quality, and monitoring patient data. You must complete mandatory continuing education, be certified in life support, and hold an MRT license. Experience in CT technology is preferred, and you may be required to assist with paperwork for facility accreditation, manage quality assurance on equipment, and respond to emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
- Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT))
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) or Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist
- Two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience, preferred
