Job Summary
CT Tech at Ochsner Health in Chalmette, LA, performs and verifies CT procedures, mentors junior staff, and ensures patient safety and quality control. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, reviewing orders, explaining procedures, preparing patients, transmitting diagnostic images, and participating in department operations. Requires completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligibility, a state license, BLS, and willingness to work nights. Preferred CT experience and advanced CT certification within stated timelines; strong computer and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility in duties and hours.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- ARRT certification and/or CT registry eligibility and ability to obtain CT registry within 90 days
- Current unrestricted license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
