Job Summary
Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and orders, educating patients about procedures, preparing and administering contrast media within scope, monitoring patient condition, selecting imaging parameters, ensuring safety and quality control of equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, positioning patients, performing imaging procedures, analyzing results, and entering/reporting scan results. May perform 3-D post processing. Requires critical thinking, ability to work with minimal supervision, and capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered or registry-eligible with completion of registry in CT by ARRT
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card valid through sixty days of hire
