Job Summary
Position patients for CT exams, obtain medical histories, and explain procedures while addressing patient concerns. Start IVs, inject contrast media, and dispense oral contrast as needed. Evaluate CT images for technical quality, prepare them for PACS transmission, and assist radiologists with MIPS, 3D images, and reconstructions. Prepare CT orders, EMR notes, and check lab values. Perform order and charge entry for procedures. Load and operate power injectors. Work day shifts Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. Requires ARRT certification and an associate's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Applied Science or similar field
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CT Tech
