Job Summary
Under the direction of the radiologist, provides CT services to patients for diagnosis. Closely follows physician's instructions, appropriately positions patients, prepares and operates CT equipment, and accurately records the images requested. Education qualifications include an associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or a certificate program. Certifications and licenses include WI Licensed Radiographer or IL Accreditation (or Temporary Accreditation) in Medical Radiation Technology, ARRT RT(R) certification (must be obtained within 12 months), ARRT CT credential preferred, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program
- WI: Licensed Radiographer issued by the WI DSPS
- IL: Accreditation (or Temporary Accreditation) in Medical Radiation Technology issued by IEMA
- ARRT RT(R) certification must be obtained within 12 months
- CT credential from ARRT preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- 1 year radiology experience preferred
