Job Summary
Performs computed tomography procedures and assesses patients to ensure safety and accuracy; serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students; operates CT imaging equipment, verifies physician orders, and ensures diagnostic-quality images; conducts quality control and participates in department operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance); communicates effectively with patients and colleagues, maintains radiation safety and regulatory compliance, and adapts to flexible work hours and travel between facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- Current unrestricted license in state of practice
- ARRT certification and/or CT registry eligible with temporary state license and CT registry eligibility within one year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- Advanced CT certification preferred
- Proficiency in computing, software, and radiology information systems
