Job Summary

Perform CT scans on patients by preparing them, explaining procedures, administering contrast, positioning them, and selecting appropriate imaging techniques. Enter and monitor patient data while performing quality assurance on CT equipment. Report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management and take emergency calls within the department. Adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards regarding safety, time management, and supply management. May be required to work weekends and float to other locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
  • Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT)
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in computed tomography
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N)
  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • One of the following along with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams: Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N), or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist
  • Two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles
  • Specific age groups that are served by this position are circled: Neonate, Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Adult/Geriatric

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience, preferred
