Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination by positioning them and executing specialty radiologic examinations, including CT scans. Review medical records to verify physician orders before procedures and inspect films for quality and proper identification prior to interpretation. Assist radiologists during procedures, train new technologists, and maintain equipment safety while adhering to radiation dosimeter policies. Monitor and stock supplies, operate specialized equipment following Standard Precautions, and complete daily exam data entry in EPIC and SYNAPSE systems. Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the supervisor or clinical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT)
- Must hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control
- Must have BLS/CPR certification
- Must be a Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Must have One year of clinical experience at the staff technologist level
