CT Tech - Inpatient - Weekends

Job Summary
Collect pertinent medical information, review physician orders, and explain procedures to patients while obtaining necessary consents. Position patients, administer oral, rectal, or intravenous contrast as required, and monitor reactions to adverse events. Select equipment parameters, perform scanning procedures, organize images, and transfer exams to the PACS system. Enter patient charges, monitor equipment functionality, and assist with patient transportation between areas. Perform POC iSTAT testing, screen for contraindications, and communicate with radiologists regarding acute stroke protocols. Work weekends from 6:30pm to 7am with on-call rotation. Requires ARRT certification and BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB accredited school
- Registered CT Technologist with the ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work in another department as needs dictate
- 6:30pm-7am (Fri-Sun)

Desired Qualifications
- Prior training or experience in Computerized Tomography (CT) scanning
- Ability to insert intravenous catheter
