Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination by positioning them and executing specialty radiologic exams, including Coronary Angio, Cystogram, and Virtual Colonography. Review medical records to verify orders, inspect films for quality, and perform daily exam data entry on EPIC and SYNAPSE systems. Operate Siemens & GE CT units, conduct 3D post-processing, and maintain phantom quality control protocols. Assist physicians during procedures, train new technologists, and report equipment malfunctions immediately. Adjust to variable schedules and cross-train in other specialties as workload demands.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT)
- Must hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Must be a Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Must have 3 years of clinical experience
- Must be able to perform all CT exams listed for CT Tech II
- Must be able to perform 3D post processing of specialty CT procedures
- Must be proficient in Coronary Angio
- Must be proficient in Cystogram
- Must be proficient in Virtual Colonography
- Must be proficient in TAVR
- Must be proficient in Enterography
- Must be proficient in Rectal Contrast
- Must be proficient in Peripheral IV Catheter placement
- Must be proficient in Performing & Documenting Phantom Quality Control on Siemens & GE Scanners
- Must be proficient in operating Siemens & GE CT units
- Must be proficient in 3D post-processing (Circle Of Willis, Aorta, Boney Extremities, Carotids, Cardiac)
- Must be proficient in 3D imaging and post processing of Cardiac CTA studies
- Must be able to set-up protocols for advanced exams with Radiologist
- Must be able to serve as department lead, delegate tasks, and manage the work flow in Managers absence
