Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination by positioning them and executing specialty radiologic examinations. Review medical records to verify physician orders before procedures. Inspect films for quality and monitor them for proper patient identification prior to interpretation. Assist radiologists with patient care during procedures and cross-train in other specialty areas as workload demands. Operate specialized equipment while adhering to safety guidelines and radiation dosimeter policies. Maintain room supplies and report equipment malfunctions immediately to the supervisor. Complete daily exam data entry in EPIC and SYNAPSE systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT)
- Must hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Must be a Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- One year of clinical experience at the staff technologist level
