Job Summary
CT Technologist operates diagnostic imaging equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) to produce quality radiographs for diagnosis, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to radiologists and providers. Responsibilities include patient positioning, selecting technical factors, performing QA tasks, scheduling imaging procedures, adhering to infection control standards, entering patient information into RIS, and participating in department meetings and continuing education. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT radiography/CT registration (or equivalent), current WA radiologic technologist certification, and BLS. One year RT experience is preferred; on-call shifts and collaborative work with providers and staff are required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or an equivalent registry as a Rad Tech and CT Tech; required within one year of hire
- Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the Washington State Department of Health
- BLS Certification
- Working knowledge of PACS/RIS
- At least one year of RT experience, preferred
- Ability to operate radiologic equipment and maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control in exam rooms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with radiologists, physicians, patients and families
