Job Summary
Performs prescribed CT imaging procedures, analyzing results while ensuring image quality and patient safety. Reviews patient history, educates patients about procedures, and prepares/administers contrast media. Monitors patient condition, troubleshoots equipment, and implements safety standards. Must hold relevant certifications and maintain them, with specific requirements depending on employment history.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Associate degree; or Certification from a technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography Certification and Registration (R) or ARRT– Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N) or ARRT– Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Computed Tomography (CT) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.
- Employees hired or transferred into the CT role on/after July 1, 2022, are also required to maintain active certifications.
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
