Job Summary
Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures, assesses patients, and ensures adherence to prescribed radiation safety procedures. Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students. Requires completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligibility with timely licensure, and current BLS. Skills include proficiency with radiology information systems, strong communication, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to work nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel between facilities. Must maintain knowledge of CT procedures, safety standards, and be self-directed with the ability to adapt to varying duties and schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Education Required - Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or CT-ARRT certified OR ARRT registry eligible with within 90 days of employment and temporary state license; CT registry eligible within one year; Advanced CT certification within one year of becoming CT registry eligible; Current unrestricted license in state of practice; Current BLS certification from AHA
