Job Summary
Integrate activities and resources of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, comprising Radiology, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammography, PET, and office support. Assist the department manager with overall leadership, maintaining a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Direct supervision of technologists while assigning staff and workload requirements respecting changing priorities. Monitor departmental operations to assure compliance with governmental regulations and accrediting agency standards. Coordinate PACS services with other departments, physicians, and office staff, communicating system changes and upgrades. Conduct ongoing performance improvement monitoring, reporting, staff in-service, and competency testing. Act as a resource for staff technologists. Full-time day schedule, Monday through Friday, with weekend requirements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
- CT-Computed Tomography
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 5 years of recent relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of all aspects of Radiology Care
- Knowledge of quality personnel management
- Communication skills
- Customer service
- Basic computer/data entry/statistical evaluation skills
- Communication and problem-solving skills
- Less than 50% of time spent on average is performing the duties of the individuals being supervised
