Job Summary
Perform diagnostic CT and radiologic quality imaging under physician direction while maintaining radiation safety standards and proper technical protocols. Operate all imaging equipment, injectors, and monitors safely; review images to ensure optimal results and repeat exams as necessary. Communicate clearly with patients by explaining procedures in lay terms, addressing concerns, and maintaining confidentiality. Prepare patients by verifying chart information, assessing medical history, and providing education. Document exam details including fluoro time, image counts, and contrast reactions; ensure images are delivered to the correct PACS folders. Coordinate daily work duties with the team to maximize productivity and maintain sanitation.
Required Qualifications
- Technical School Diploma
- Graduate of accredited Radiography program
- RT(CT) Certified
- 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- 1 year experience as a CT technologist
- Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures
- Knowledge and skills to perform all imaging exams on patients of all ages
- Proficient use of the advanced software for CT scanning and post procedure processing applications
- Strong aptitude for CT technology
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude
- Upbeat demeanor
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- AHA - American Heart Association certification within 30 Days
- RT - Registered Technologist certification upon hire
- CT - Computed Tomography certification upon hire
- Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Ability to push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force)
- Ability to perform lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight
- Ability to stand/walk frequently to continuously
- Ability to walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, and perform CPR

- Graduate of Health Science program
- Knowledge and skills to perform venipuncture
