Job Summary
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for disease and injury diagnosis according to radiologist protocols, excluding biopsies. Prepare and position patients while selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice. Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities. Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain constant alertness. Observe protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. This PRN position at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital supports the Imaging CT department.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
- Completion of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Radiation Therapy program and CT credential within 12 months of hire date
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
