Job Summary
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for disease and injury diagnosis according to radiologist protocols. Prepare and position patients, select anatomic and technical parameters, and administer contrast media or medications within scope of practice. Monitor patients during procedures, report abnormal activity, and observe radiation safety guidelines while maintaining constant alertness. Recommend protocol updates or refinements as warranted. Complete CT credentialing within 12 months of hire date. Requires BLS HCP and ARRT-CT or equivalent credential. Variable shift schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
- Completion of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Radiation Therapy program and CT credential within 12 months of hire date
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Computed Tomography (CT) Credential - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
