Job Summary
Performs computerized tomographic procedures for diagnosis following radiologists' protocols; prepares and positions patients, selects parameters, administers contrast media as appropriate; observes patients during procedures, ensures safety and protocol compliance, and assists with updates to protocols. Requires registering radiology credentials (ARRT-CT and related ARRT/ NMTCB approvals) and BLS certification; cross-training and flexible scheduling are available.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - ARRT or NMTCB CT credential
- ARRT-R Radiography OR ARRT-T Radiation Therapy OR ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Radiologic Technologists – Illinois/Emergency Management Agency temporary accreditation (IEMA) OR equivalent licensing
- State-specific ARRT and licensure requirements for IL, MO, WI, OK
