Job Summary
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to established radiologist protocols, including biopsy, TAVR, coronary, and extremity work for OR planning. Prepare and position patients while selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, and administer contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice. Monitor patients during procedures to report abnormal activity, observe radiation safety guidelines, and recommend protocol updates as warranted. Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe manner while working as a PRN technologist at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Radiation Therapy program
- CT credential within 12 months of hire date
- Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
