Job Summary
Perform a variety of imaging exams used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately while implementing radiation protection and safety standards. Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, including administering contrast media and medications within scope. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department environment while working in a constant state of alertness. Complete at least 30% of FTE in a secondary modality to be eligible for a Multiple Modality job. Work night shifts with 24 hours per week, earning a sign-on bonus and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology program
- Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
- ARRT-R
- ARRT-CT
- ARRT-T
- ARRT-N
- CNMT
- BLS HCP
- IEMA
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiographer, Licensed - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
- Must work at least 30% of FTE in secondary modality to be eligible for a Multiple Modality job
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more)
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
- Rare kneeling and sitting
- Completion of ARRT-CT within 12 months of hire date
