Job Summary
Perform CT exams as a scanning technologist while precepting students and staff, ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining appropriate preceptor schedules. Collaborate with the Clinical Instructor and Applications Specialist to update training materials and organize continuing medical education for all technologists. Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, perform studies independently including portable exams, and establish documented work standards for complex protocols. Maintain student records and guide new hires through safety and hospital regulations. This role supports the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, one of the top five radiology departments in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- CT Certified
- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or CT
- 2 – 5 years CT experience
- CT Clinical Educator, CT Clinical Preceptor
- Advanced Modality Cat Scan
