Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist will function under the supervision of an RN in the Operating Room, providing technical interventions to patients of all ages. This role requires responsibility for managing instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies. The position supports call-ins and time off by picking up shifts as needed during day hours, specifically from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Certification as a surgical technologist is required within one year of hire, and candidates must obtain BCLS certification within one month of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of an Essentia Health Surgical Technologist Apprentice Training Program
- Certification as a surgical technologist is required within one year of hire
- AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a surgical setting is preferred but not required.
