Job Summary
Assist in operative procedures by preparing instrumentation, maintaining asepsis, and supporting surgeon and circulator. Prepare and knows the specific uses of all instruments and equipment, ensure aseptic technique, and provide a safe, efficient environment in the operating room for the surgical patient. Requires a two-year Surgical Technology program and BCLS certification, with certification by the national exam and maintenance of certification; first assisting role training is required. Part-time on-site role in Sandusky, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a two year accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training in Surgical Technology
- BCLS certified
- Certification by national exam by the Liaison Council on Certification (or eligible at time of hire)
- Certification maintained according to the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc.
- Specific requirement for First Assisting Role: completion of an approved program for the surgical tech in the first assisting role
