Job Summary
The CST supports surgical procedures by preparing and providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment, while maintaining a sterile field. Responsibilities include assembling and organizing supplies, assisting the surgical team, ensuring sterility, preparing dressings, and cleaning surgical instruments. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from a surgical technology program, BLS certification, and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (May be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6-months)
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Basic computer skills (eg, Microsoft® Word)
