CST First Assist (CSTFA) MUSC Florence Main Operating Room - FT

Collaborate with the surgical team under physician direction to ensure patient safety, manage instrumentation, and maintain the integrity of the sterile field. Provide technical assistance for exposure, hemostasis, closure, and intraoperative functions while communicating effectively with the circulator, charge nurse, surgeon, and anesthesia. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, laws, and regulatory standards. Requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology First Assist Program, current CPR certification, and National Board of Surgical Technology and Assisting certification. Schedule includes 40 hours per week.
