Job Summary
Deliver fast, friendly, and profitable customer service at the Dudley Rd. Shell location while maintaining a safe, clean site. Provide efficient service to customers at the fuel island and retail counter, stocking merchandise, building displays, and performing cleaning duties. Operate cash registers, point-of-sale equipment, and safety devices including fire extinguishers. Assist disabled customers with full service duties and perform maintenance tasks such as mopping floors and cleaning restrooms. Manage inventory by ordering and checking merchandise, collecting data, and handling credit tickets. Support team members by recruiting and training new employees, acting as a role model, and maintaining high personal effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 8th grade or equivalent retail experience
- strong interpersonal skills
- Read and write English
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Ability to lift and carry cases of merchandise such as motor oil, soft drinks, beer, bags of ice, and groceries, etc. (Up to an approximate weight of 25 pounds)
- Have the ability to frequently bend, stoop and reach in order to reach safe drops, under and over counter supplies and goods
- Must be able to use arms above head/shoulder level
- Climb a ladder or step up to reach supplies in overhead area
- Stand for periods up to eight hours
- Ability to work alone and capable of summoning personal assistance during all medical emergencies
- No felony convictions
