Job Summary
Conduct and assist in studies related to environmental contaminants with a pronounced focus on PFAS; manage research contracts and grants with internal and external collaborators; assist in conceptualizing and developing research studies, contract development, field audits, coordinating requests for proposals, and providing technical support to other projects and staff. Evaluate occurrence of contaminants of concern in the environment, provide risk assessments to human and environmental health, and prepare concise technical reports and data summaries for other Department programs. Serve as a PFAS point-of-contact for the division and represent the Division on internal and external committees and advisory boards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a discipline appropriate to the position
- Two (2) years of experience in a field appropriate to the position
- Doctorate may substitute for two years of experience (if applicable)
- U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university; foreign degrees must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date
