Job Summary
Develop and refine numerical methodologies using VPS (Pamcrash) to enhance passive safety simulation precision. Correlate calculations with measurements, optimize component and dummy prepositioning ("presettings"), and implement fine modeling techniques like "multistage" to ensure realistic representation and computational performance. Collaborate daily with crash engineers, the internal expertise network, and the software vendor to drive continuous improvement. This six-month internship offers a flexible schedule with up to two days of remote work, situated within Renault Group's Simulation Methods team in Guyancourt.
Required Qualifications
- Bac+5 or equivalent engineering degree
- Specialization in numerical mechanics
- Good basis in the finite element method
- English language proficiency for international collaboration
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Availability for a 6-month contract duration
- Eligibility for remote work up to two days per week
