Job Summary
Fabricate, install, modify, and repair sheet metal components and assemblies while reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Operate fabrication equipment including shears, brakes, rollers, plasma cutting, and perform MIG and stick welding. Assist with field installations and modifications throughout manufacturing facilities, working from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and elevated areas as necessary. Troubleshoot fabrication and installation issues and recommend practical solutions while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Positions available on 1st and 2nd shifts (6a-2p and 2p-10p) with wages starting at $30.00-$38.00 per hour plus a $5,000 sign-on/retention bonus. Forklift certification or ability to obtain it is required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in industrial sheet metal fabrication, installation, or maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment
- Experience with MIG and stick welding
- Knowledge of sheet metal layout, forming, cutting, and assembly techniques
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational-technical training, apprenticeship training, or equivalent hands-on experience
