Job Summary
Fabricate, install, modify, and repair sheet metal components, assemblies, ventilation systems, and equipment guarding. Read blueprints, perform layout, measuring, cutting, forming, welding, and assembly operations, and operate fabrication machinery including shears, brakes, and plasma cutters. Assist with field installations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a safe work environment while working from elevated areas. Positions available on 1st shift (6a-2p) and 2nd shift (2p-10p). Wages start at $30.00-$38.00 per hour plus a $5,000 sign-on/retention bonus. Forklift certification or ability to obtain it is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in industrial sheet metal fabrication, installation, or maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment
- Experience with MIG and stick welding
- Knowledge of sheet metal layout, forming, cutting, and assembly techniques
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational-technical training, apprenticeship training, or equivalent hands-on experience
