Job Summary
Field Service Engineer 2 executes regular and irregular maintenance activities on ASML systems at customer sites with considerable independence and limited supervision. Responsibilities include problem analysis, information gathering, initial solution approach, handovers to 2nd line support, and executing repairs and standard service actions. Provides training to customers, proposes changes in user procedures, and coordinates parts, tools, and information within customer machine time windows. Maintains and broadens own knowledge, shares best practices, and supports less experienced engineers. Requires access to controlled technology under US export regulations and legal authorization to access such technology prior to starting work.
Required Qualifications
- BSc degree in a relevant technical field (Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience
- Experience in a technical industry and/or semiconductor industry preferred
- Experience with computer applications, data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software
- Knowledge of product functionality of main modules/sub-modules
- Ability to perform problem analysis, equipment maintenance, and hands-on repairs independently or with escalation as needed
- Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under export regulations (US EAR)
