Job Summary
Plan, shoot, edit, and deliver complex promotional and marketing content for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms. Lead creative development of station image campaigns, program promotions, special event marketing, and brand initiatives. Develop concepts, scripts, storyboards, and production plans that align with organizational goals and audience engagement strategies. Serve as lead videographer and editor for high-profile productions, special projects, and executive communications. Produce high-quality video, audio, motion graphics, and multimedia content using advanced production and editing techniques. Coordinate production schedules, locations, talent, and technical resources to ensure successful project completion. Collaborate with producers, marketing teams, designers, and leadership to create compelling content that supports programming and strategic initiatives. Write and produce news and feature content for broadcasts and web/social media, conducting interviews and adapting content between English and native languages. Perform technical functions including equipment operation, voice material for broadcasts, and fine editing of taped material. Contribute to regularly scheduled or special radio, TV, and web sections, edit and approve content prepared by others, and make suggestions about policy and workflow improvements. Meet VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken)
- Deep knowledge of the target area
- Ability to adapt stories into English
- Log and conduct data entry and other functions connected with VOA's digital asset management system
- Must pass a thorough background check
