Job Summary
Determine benefits and rates for group health insurance applications by analyzing the company's financial condition, industry type, employee group characteristics, participation percentages, and past claim experience. Collaborate with field forces and other functions to gather information for underwriting decisions, then explain and defend all underwriting actions. Develop retention illustrations to identify cost and expense areas for specific cases while exploring workflow improvements to build a healthy environment. Align assigned tasks with business policy to support long-term growth.
Required Qualifications
- Actuaries
- determine the benefits that can be offered and rates to be set for group health insurance applications based on guidelines set for the issuance of AIA insurance policies
- Analyse financial condition of the company, type of industry, characteristics of employee groups, participation percentage and past claim experience to determine benefits and rates for new policies, yearly renewals and amendments of group health insurance contracts
- Collaborate with field forces or other functions of AIA to gather information for decision-making
- Explain and defend any underwriting actions
- Develop retention illustrations to show areas of cost and expense on some cases
- Responsible for other relating tasks as assigned to align with business policy and build long term business growth
