Job Summary
CS&A Engineer to support CS&A elements of nuclear project delivery, producing design work packages and associated CS&A/Mechanical Piping design deliverables. Role includes Revit model development for CS&A and mechanical piping, checking/approving outputs, delivering civil/structural calculations, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and method statements. Requires experience in a highly regulated industry (preferably nuclear), proficiency with Autodesk Revit, and ability to work autonomously while collaborating with engineers and project teams. Chartered Engineer status preferred; minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years delivery experience or a Civil Engineering degree with 2+ years delivery experience. Residency to meet UK security clearance requirements. Desirable progression toward Chartered Engineer status and knowledge of additional piping design standards (ASME B31.3, PER, PSSR). Required Qualifications
- Experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear
- Familiar with a range of design technologies and techniques
- Production of CS&A design documents such as civil and structural calculations, engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work, method statements
- Qualified and experienced user of Autodesk Revit
- Experience of steelwork design with knowledge of Eurocode 3, BS5950-1
- Capable of independent and autonomous work during delivery of packages
- Able to seek input from engineers and project team members to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Able to present information clearly to diverse audiences
- Minimum HNC or preferred HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years design delivery experience; or degree in Civil Engineering with 2+ years design delivery experience
- Desirable: Working towards Chartered Engineer status
- Experience of mechanical piping design with knowledge of ASME B31.3, PER and PSSR
- Qualifications to demonstrate Revit training
- Residency criteria to attain UK security clearance (minimum SC level)
