Job Summary
Develop and update language and domain-specific training materials for cryptologic language training programs; collaborate with language instructors and other developers to design, develop, and document language materials; create practical evaluations to test student mastery of learning objectives; use Audacity and Adobe tools to craft materials; apply ISD-based instructional design across blended delivery modes (online, distance, asynchronous, self-paced); work with SIGINT Operations and other instructors to obtain and develop language materials; participate in transcription, translation, and analysis of operational exercises; leverage technologies such as Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, and SumTotal to support training delivery; position requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and occasional local travel.
Required Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. in Language, Area Studies, Education, Education Technology, ISD or related discipline
- Native language capability in Korean with ILR proficiency level 4 in reading/listening/speaking and English at ILR level 2 in reading/writing/speaking/listening OR native English with ILR level 3 in Korean reading/listening
- Minimum five (5) years of experience including three (3) years SIGINT or Intelligence Community language analyst or instructor experience
- Two (2) years within the last 6 years developing, documenting, and/or updating language training materials following ISD principles
- One (1) year experience with English and foreign language fonts/keyboards/software
- One (1) year experience within the last 4 years using web-based or distance learning technologies (e.g., Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, SumTotal)
- One (1) year experience with synchronous and asynchronous instructional systems design and skills-based instruction for adults
