Cryptography & Key Management Security Engineer

Job Summary
Manage the lifecycle of cryptographic keys, digital certificates, and application secrets, including rotation, renewal, revocation, and access management. Operate and monitor Hardware Security Module (HSM) infrastructures to ensure high availability and operational stability. Investigate incidents related to encryption, authentication, and secrets management while supporting PKI and certificate lifecycle activities. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cryptographic services securely and contribute to strategic initiatives in Post-Quantum Cryptography, crypto agility, and security automation. This hybrid role in Belgium supports complex financial services transformation initiatives, combining hands-on operational work with advisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience within IT Security, cybersecurity, cryptography, PKI, security infrastructure, or key management
- Strong hands-on experience in technically complex and business-critical IT environments
- Experience operating or supporting high-availability security infrastructure
- Experience working with multiple technical and business stakeholders
- Previous experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment
- Experience working in Agile environments
