Job Summary
Crypto Architect at a stealth FinTech venture leading the design of a high-throughput, event-driven architecture linking fiat banking with blockchain rails. You will design asynchronous, scalable microservices, document architectural decisions, optimize crypto-processing throughput, manage node infrastructure decisions (self-hosted vs external RPC), ensure data consistency across ledgers via gRPC/Protobuf APIs, oversee security for hot/warm/cold wallets, and mentor developers on edge cases like chain reorgs and gas spikes. Requires deep expertise in Golang and TypeScript, Node.js internals, PostgreSQL and caching layers, blockchain mechanics (EVM/UTXO), and secure wallet architectures (MPC/HSM). Strong collaboration across product, DevOps, and security teams in a remote-first startup with compensation packages and generous benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Architectural Patterns: Deep experience designing microservices architectures, specifically using Event-Driven Design
- Node.js / TypeScript Mastery: 5+ years of server-side development
- Golang Proficiency: read and understand concurrency models and design gRPC interfaces
- Database Design: PostgreSQL, Redis/DynamoDB with ACID concepts
- Blockchain Mechanics: knowledge of EVM chains and UTXO chains
- Security Standards: MPC wallet architecture or HSM integration
- Smart Contract Literacy: reading Solidity contracts (ERC-20, ERC-721)
- Code Review & Mentorship: enforce architecture and security standards
- High-Load Optimization: throughput optimization and error handling in crypto-processing
- Start-up & Remote Work Experience: remote-first environment, flexible hours
Desired Qualifications
- Deep experience designing microservices architectures, specifically using Event-Driven Design
- 5+ years of server-side development in Node.js/TypeScript
- Golang proficiency and ability to read core banking ledger code
- Strong PostgreSQL and Redis/DynamoDB design skills
- Understanding of EVM chains (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon) and UTXO chains (Bitcoin, Litecoin)
- Experience with security architectures such as MPC wallet or HSM integrations
- Ability to read Solidity contracts (ERC-20, ERC-721) and interact safely with them
- Experience with Kafka or AWS MSK and gRPC/Protobuf interfaces
- Mentorship and code review capabilities
- Experience in high-throughput, low-latency financial systems
- Remote-first/startup environment experience and ability to work across multiple time zones
