Job Summary
Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist (Level I-IV) supports SIGINT operations with analytic data and software capabilities. Responsibilities include applying software development skills across languages such as Python, C#, Java, and C++, with experience in front-end tech (Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and comfort with high-performance computing, AI, and data analytics. Collaboration across multiple mission teams and external customers is required, using strong communication skills. Primary location is Annapolis Junction, MD, with secondary locations in Augusta, GA; San Antonio, TX; Oahu, HI and other locations. Requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance and a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, plus programming experience and advanced math coursework. Entry to higher levels are defined by experience and education. Pay ranges from $117,000 to $250,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with at least one programming and at least 4 upper-level math classes (Calculus and above)
- Relevant experience in computer science area (theoretical or applied), designing/developing/using/evaluating mathematical models, methods, and/or techniques (e.g. algorithm or development) to study issues and solve problems, engineering (electrical or computer), and/or high-performance computing
- Experience with cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignments and external customer support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across multiple mission teams
- Security clearance TS/SCI with Poly
- Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years; higher positions allow more experience
