Job Summary
Operate console to control conveyor system and crushing equipment, including tower and other machinery as required. Perform daily pre-start safety inspections, ensure material quality meets specifications, and stop equipment to clear jams. Direct grounds-person, mechanic, and loader operator while communicating with supervisor on all operations. Assist with maintenance tasks such as changing screens, belts, rollers, and jaw plates. Maintain constant radio communication with all equipment operators and adjust systems to optimize output. Requires 2-3 years of crusher unit experience and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 3-week on/3-week off rotations with competitive hourly pay and covered travel.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience with different crusher units
- Must be able to operate power tools
- General understanding of the principles of crushing and screening
- Ability to interpret sieve test results and adjust equipment to produce in spec material
- Able to adjust systems to optimize operations and meet specifications
- Must be able to always maintain communications with all equipment operators
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness
- Experience with radio communications and protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Experience assisting with changing screens, belts, rollers, jaw plates, cones, belt repairs, and other repairs related to crushing operations
